L'original "What they done to my song, Ma" a été interprété par Melanie en 1970.
La version française "Ils ont changé ma chanson" a été interprétée par Dalida et a aussi été reprise par Margot Lefebvre, par Anaïs, dans une version très proche de l'original, par Petula Clark, par Gloria Lasso et par Stéphane Eicher & Arno (Pour l'album "Ils ont chanté Dalida").
La version espagnole "Que la han hecho a mi cancion, Mamà" a été chantée par Jeanette, la chanteuse de "Porque te vas".
En tchèque, Helena Vondráčková a interprété "Kam zmizel ten starý song".
En italien, Dalida a chanté "Non e piu la mia canzone".
En allemand, "Wer hart mein lied so zerstört" a été interprété par Daliah Lavi et, dans une version plus curieuse, par Enfant Terrible.
L'habituelle version finnoise, "Jos kaupan onnea ois" est chantée par Katri Helena tandis que la version néerlandaise "Ze hebben geknoeid aan lmijn lied, ma" est chantée par Jan van der Voort.
